Role Overview
We are looking for a strong Finance Manager to join our Financial Planning and Analysis team at our Algonquin, Illinois location. The Finance Manager performs as a Business Partner between the local Shared Services and Functional Area management including the leaders of International and Operations, Business Unit Field Finance Managers and the accounting/finance team to execute the business plan and strategy of the company. This role reports directly to the Director of FP&A.


Responsibilities

  • Support Annual Budget Process by providing assistance in driving activities to ensure all aspects of the Annual Budget is prepared accurately and in accordance with the prescribed calendar consisting of six business units and corporate functional areas.
  • Provide analysis and counsel regarding operational improvements, headcount planning, capital spending, pricing strategy and cost savings.
  • Support International Team and VP through weekly, monthly and annual revenue and P&L reporting
  • Support Algonquin distribution operations and the VP of Operations related to consolidated metrics and/or initiatives.
  • Lead the assessment of performance and execution against budget, including risks and opportunities, as well as recommending actions to identify value creation opportunities and improve business outcomes.
  • Manage ongoing evaluation of projects, including tracking & reporting and facilitate decision process (ROI).
  • Assist Field Finance Managers in the management, creation and execution of detailed cyclical and ad hoc financial reporting to drive organic sales growth for multiple business units.
  • Responsible for using the management reporting tools to execute business planning and drive decision making by leveraging IFS, Sales Cube and Adaptive Insights functionality.
  • Drive continuous process improvements and best practices to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the planning and reporting process

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics or a related field
  • 6 - 10 years prior accounting or finance experience with demonstrated success in managing complex financial planning and modeling
  • Processes well developed knowledge and skills to interpret financial information on cost, price, expense and revenue
  • Ability to work and interact with all organization levels
  • Ability to adapt to changing business priorities and multitask effectively
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to all levels of the organization
  • Strong interest in understanding critical success factors for multiple business units, including key factors needed to increase value company-wide
