Role Overview

The Director of Strategic Accounts – OMS role’s primary responsibility is to represent and/or lead the representation of Young’s Oral Surgery (OS) business in all dealings with key customers within the Dental Special Markets in North America. The Director of Strategic Accounts will develop and execute strategies to manage and grow sales with dental service organizations (DSOs), group purchasing organizations (GPOs), dental schools and government accounts for the Oral Surgery business unit.

Success is defined through the analysis of sales numbers, achievements to goals, KPI and MBO achievement, and the extent of user implementation, adoption, and overall successful usage of Young OS products and services.

 

The role will report into the VP/GM of Oral Surgery but will work closely with Oral Surgery’s GMs to drive revenue expansion of the current and future oral surgery product portfolio within this segment.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute growth strategies for the special markets segment, specifically: new customer acquisition plan, annual/quarterly forecasting, and large DSO customer by customer growth strategies and execution plan.
  • Develop productive relationships with both large and mid-sized special markets accounts in North America and implement strategies to acquire and retain business.
  • Develop national pricing and contracting strategies in conjunction with GM’s and the finance team that will lead to the achievement of annual revenue and profitability targets.
  • Serve as the primary internal point of contact for DSO Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and work with finance resources to oversee critical financial modeling, and development / coordination of RFP responses.
  • Work with the management team to set growth metrics, targets, and KPIs for this segment of the business.
  • Partner with the commercial sales team to align growth strategies and to insure support from our strategic distribution partners.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to develop tools to provide ROI tracking and analysis of sales and marketing initiatives within the special markets segment.
  • Partner with the broader strategic account management team to capitalize on opportunities to further expand wallet share for the overall business in key accounts.
  • Evaluate current and proposed company policies and practices within the Special Markets segment and recommend changes that will positively impact the organization’s profitability and growth.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Training and Experience

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or similar field, or equivalent experience

Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills

  • 10+ year’s sales and/or sales leadership experience.
  • Excellent communication skills and an ability to build and maintain key professional relationships at an executive level are essential.
  • Must be results-oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks and a team of people in a dynamic environment
  • Experience in oral surgery is required
  • Demonstrated collaborative leadership style
  • Solid oral, written and presentation skills to effectively communicate within the management team and across multiple divisions
  • Ability to work independently and take a hands-on approach to the work
  • Ability to analyze data and solve problems
  • Experience in dealing with group purchasing organizations is required
  • Candidate must reside within the domestic 48 states

Working Conditions

Office environment and occasional exposure to manufacturing plant environment, with some abnormal variations in temperature, unavoidable fumes, noise, dust and atmospheric conditions.

  • This position requires 50%+ travel.
Pay Range $150,000 - $175,000. 
The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target for the position at the time of posting. Within the range, the compensation will be determined based on education/training, skill set, experience, and other organizational needs.
