Role Overview
Microbrush International is looking for a dynamic, focused, and engaging leader to join our team as the Warehouse/Material Handler Lead in Grafton, WI. Ideal Candidate will perform and lead material handler functions, including inventory control and warehouse staff. Follow all safety rules and company established manufacturing methods and processes.

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily operations related to all warehouse/material handling functions

  • Partner with Planning and Procurement Manager to train, guide, and assign work tasks to warehouse staff

  • Coordinate outbound freight activity to ensure the proper movement of materials out of the warehouse with an emphasis on both cost-effective pricing and minimization of transit times.

  • Assure that good inventory control practices are observed and that cycle-counting is maintained within the scope of procedures.

  • Identify and pursue any cost reduction projects to insure that all operations are cost effective.

  • Using a forklift or hand truck, transport all materials.

  • Complete material transfers, purchase order receipts, and shipping transactions in ERP system via PC or barcode scanning.

  • Ensure that all Kanban production areas are maintained.

  • Transfer completed orders to queued area and/or warehouse; complete corresponding transactions into ERP system.
  • Generate and pick customer order picklists, ensuring accurate part, lot number, and quantity.
  • Create necessary shipping documentation including BOLs, Invoices, SLIs or related documentation.
  • Communicate with internal groups for pertinent information, including purchasing, manufacturing, scheduling, customer service, etc.
  • Communicate with motor carriers/parcel services to obtain rate quotes and scheduling the appropriate pick up times; fill out paperwork and tracking information.
  • Perform standard warehouse operations, including location/pallet consolidation, remaining balance verification, location organization and standard location replenishment.

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external customers, and promptly resolve any issues brought forward via that role.

  • Support operational activity and special projects as requested.

  • Maintain forklift certification and act as forklift trainer for other employees

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum 3-4 years combination of material handling functions, computer system data entry, forklift and/or hand truck operations in an industrial environment.

  • Leadership experience, preferred.

  • Able to distinguish color.

  • Able to read, write, take direction in English.

  • Able to work well within a team.

  • Must be able to work standing for 8 hours.

  • Able to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Forklift certification required, forklift trainer certification preferred
