Role Overview
We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our team at Young Dental in Earth City, Missouri. The Setup Technician will be responsible for maintaining the manufacturing floor tending to setup and troubleshooting machine process and auxiliary equipment.

Responsibilities

• Ability to start up/shut down injection molding machine and perform proper procedures of mold installation and removal
• Use a crane hoist to perform mold changes and maintenance of molding machines
• Program robot and set up End of Arm tooling for robotic part removal and trimming and other ancillary equipment
• Maintain the cleanliness of the mold's parting line, including cavity/core inserts and part chute or conveyer belt after mold installation is necessary production practice as well lubrication of leader pins, bushings and other moving parts before mold removal
• Clean and protect against rust with light oil of mold base and machine platens when required
• Clean up after all mold installations and returning removed molds to their proper location
• Follow and document process parameters to ensure repeatable results
• Communicating all mold/machine issues or damage before installing/removing to appropriate resources
• Perform all the functions of a material handler

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, preferred
• Minimum of 5 years in an injection molding environment as a setup technician
• Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices and procedures with mold making
• Experience working in a fast pace, high change environment with limited supervision: self-starter
• Must be able to work under time and pressure, and be able to plan and accomplish goals in a variety of tasks
• Must be certified and able to use forklift
• Must be able to perform physical tasks such as lifting 50lbs
