Role Overview
The Director of Marketing Technology and Operations – Oral Surgery will oversee the technology automation strategy and processes used to streamline B2B digital marketing practices in order to drive engagement and sales. The role is responsible for the selection, implementation, integration, sustainability, and operational efficiency of the marketing technology stack to ensure the company can deliver a maximum return on investment (ROI).
This role will build and manage a team of external (and internal) marketing technologists and administrators, web development professionals, and agencies focused on improving the company’s digital presence. Additionally, the Director will help drive enterprise-wide change, adoption, and implementation of the marketing technology stack. The role will take ownership for digital optimization and working closely with marketing, IT, legal, and regulatory leaders in the identification and delivery of key projects for the digital transformation of the company.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Serve as the strategic thought leaders for marketing technology and enhancing the digital experience. Work with businesses stakeholders and serve as the subject matter expert in the technical aspects of web design, marketing automation, CRM, and loyalty initiatives. Technical and project resource to drive project completion, innovation and enhancements of existing software solutions to continuously meet the needs (both known and unknown) of the customer.
Specific Processes:
- Understand the company’s strategic objectives and provide guidance, options, and proof of concepts (as appropriate) to solve technology needs and drive continuous improvement initiatives to meet changing marketing and business priorities.
- Serve as the primary liaison and business owner of the marketing technology stack (MAP, CRM, Web, MRM, DAM, PIM, etc.) and lead the creation of strategic roadmaps for the digital marketing transformation of the company.
- Leverage data science, UX design, platform scalability, customer insights, personalization and marketing technology to assist users through their buyer journey.
- Identify opportunities to standardize processes and system configuration to improve efficiency and reduce costs of the marketing technology stack and develop a digital strategy for integrating potential future acquisitions.
- Partner with the business, IT, legal, and regulatory teams to ensure all components of the technology stack complies with key governance standards including information security, regional privacy and accessibility laws, and product regulatory requirements.
- Continuously evaluate vendor partners, staff positions, responsibilities, and individuals for appropriate performance, skills, potential for improvement and growth.
- Technical ownership for the development, implementation, and maintenance of customer facing platforms including but not limited to company websites, loyalty programs, CodeBlue drug expiration software, Implant ID, and Custom Solutions.
- Partners with business to establish appropriate metrics and KPIs to ensure end to end visibility of customer interactions. Analyzes data, assess trends and helps define actions to optimize performance and maximize ROI.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- B.S. in marketing, information technology, computer science or related field.
- Additional consideration with a certification in marketing operations
- Experience with marketing automation software’s (i.e. HubSpot, Marketo, or equivalent).
- Experience with reporting and analytics—Google Analytics preferred
- Experience with ABM-Account Based Marketing, Content Marketing and paid search and social campaigns
- Experience with CRM systems and implementation such as Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, HubSpot or equivalent.
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks
- 7+ years of experience in martech, digital marketing, or marketing operations.
- Proven ability to lead technical projects.

- Must be comfortable in engaging with and providing updates to senior management as required by the role.
- Must be results-oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Must be a team player with strong interpersonal skills who can organize work tasks to effectively complete projects and create win-win situations when possible.
- Must also work independently and take a hands-on approach to the work when necessary.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, and capable of interacting with different cross functional groups within the business.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Office environment, with Sitting and Standing for long periods of time.
- Occasional exposure to manufacturing plant environment, with some abnormal variations in temperature, unavoidable fumes, noise, dust and atmospheric conditions.
- Periodic lifting or moving objects 40 lbs. or less.
- Ability to travel 20% or less.
- Visit sister facilities, trade shows, vendors, or customers to further marketing efforts.
Pay Range $150,000 - $165,000.
The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target for the position at the time of posting. Within the range, the compensation will be determined based on education/training, skill set, experience, and other organizational needs.
