Role Overview

The Director of Sales (DOS) for PuraGraft and MPS (subsidiaries of Young Innovations) is responsible for all sales accountabilities for the business. He/she will take a key role in ensuring the successful execution of the business plan in order to achieve Revenue, Margin and EBITDA targets for the business. This position reports to the General Manager for PuraGraft.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the successful execution of the annual sales plan, inclusive of both direct and indirect
  • Create a metrics-driven high-performance culture and environment that creates high employee satisfaction and low turnover.
  • Provide strong leadership and the ability to communicate a vision, strategy and plan.
  • Partner closely with the General Manager on key tactical and strategic initiatives.
  • Own, manage and coach the team in regard to forecasting, the funnel management process, gap mitigation, counter measures and initiatives to drive growth.
  • Identify and execute standardization of sales processes, methods and initiatives for key areas of focus such as CRM, sales process, marketing efforts, pricing, sampling and other sales objectives.
  • Partner with the General Manager and HR in hiring, onboarding, development, top-grading and performance review process with team members.
  • Partner with other Young Innovations sales leaders to explore opportunities to accelerate growth.
  • Act as first point of contact for escalated customer/operational/services related issues with sales team.
  • Engage with the C-suite of Designated DSOs in order to create partnerships, land agreements and drive campaigns for formulary compliance.
  • Engage directly with key customers and prospects to ensure customer satisfaction and gaining new sales.

 

Training and Experience

  • 10+ years of demonstrated successful experience in Marketing and/or Sales
  • At least 3+ years of experience in a supervisory/management capacity, with proven leadership of teams to exceed growth objectives
  • Prior experience in dental strongly preferred, Oral Surgery segment experience a plus
  • Implementation of processes
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.

 

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills

  • Strong interpersonal, persuasion and negotiation skills
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Strong CRM, excel and computer skills
  • Demonstrated skill in written and oral (especially telephonic) communication
  • History and recognized success in exceeding sales quotas
  • Manage the metrics assigned to all staff in Sales and Marketing
  • Great understanding of the sales process
  • Demonstrated success in developing teams, driving change management, and implementing a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous process improvement.

 

Physical Requirements
Manual dexterity and ability to work on the phone and computer for extended periods of time.

 

Working Conditions
Office environment and occasional exposure to manufacturing plant environment, with some abnormal variations in temperature, unavoidable fumes, noise, dust and atmospheric conditions. Occasional customer visits, dealer visits, trade shows on an as needed basis.

Ability to Travel ~30%
