Role Overview
We are looking for an driven Chemical Packaging Lead to join our team at our Earth City, MO location. The Chemical Packaging Lead will be responsible for leading and overseeing a team of associates in the operation, cleaning, documentation, changeover and maintenance of packaging machinery used in the final packaging of medical products for the dental industry. 


Responsibilities

• Leading and directing operators on daily assignments and priorities.
• Properly completing all in-process quality testing tasks, and documenting the results of in-process quality tests on the batch record.
• Operating packaging machinery safely in accordance with established SOPs and procedures.
• Performing or assisting in performing cleaning, changeovers and maintenance on packaging machinery. 
• Continuously improve department operations through the use of lean manufacturing principles, problem solving skills and teamwork

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3 – 5 years of relevant manufacturing experience (including 3+ years of previous lead experience) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Six Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience in effectively managing other people through strong leadership skills and team building techniques.
• Experience with lean manufacturing methodologies.
• Knowledge of manufacturing in a regulated environment (FDA, ISO, etc.)
• Knowledge of ERP systems and aptitude to learn new software applications.
• Familiar with all departments within manufacturing and their interdependency, including flow of materials and flow of information.
• Must have a strong sense of urgency in accomplishing goals.
• May need to lift up to 50 lbs. on occasion.
